Try Three for Shepp (Impulse) or one of his two CDs on ESP. He's also on ASCENSION.
I know one of the ESPs well, "Marion Brown Quartet Volume II: Why Not" which is a beautiful recording. As well as Ascension he's on Coltrane's Om and Kulu Se Mama. He also plays on a track called "Bismillahi 'Rrahman 'Rrahim " on Harold Budd's The Pavilion Of Dreams. It was released in the mid 70's on Eno's Obscure label (along with Gavin Bryar's The Sinking of the Titanic - which includes "Jesus Blood never failed me yet" in its original stunning form. Not the over blown version of a few years back.) I have no idea if this is around on CD but its a drifting gentle piece lasting about 20 minutes. He has been a key player in the more adventurous moves in jazz but has always remained gorgeously lyrical. Richard Gardner
