Does any one have any opinions about the band Trim-Dim from Sweden? They contacted me about playing. I saw they've played with Barry Guy and were remixed by Jim O'Rourke...Interesting. Thanks.

The album is good, not great. A bit derivative. What I would imagine a Bailey/Parker/Oxley trio to sound like if they were going to sound like I would expect them to (however, if we were ever to be treated to a Bailey/Parker/Oxley they would defy expectations and not sound like this...) Does this make sense? The tracks with Guy weren't any better than the trio itself, as is sometimes the case adding a wildcard into a longstanding group. Didn't really like the O'Rourke remix, but they wouldn't be doing that live. I guess if you want a recommendation: if they came near where I live, I'd go see them. Dan
