I remember Cactus World News. Well, I remember their name anyway. They were one of the post-U2 Irish bands who were hyped (by Hot Press, no doubt) to be big but weren't, were they not? I'm curious as to why you'd mention this on a Zorn list. They were never particularly avant-ish were they? Rory.

They were a good band with good songs. I thought people might be interested. Besides, lots of non-avantish stuff gets discussed here . . .
