What do you want from King Crimson at this point? What band of similar vintage and age (or even a newer band for that matter) is doing this better?
I saw them in the summer of 2001 live. Two sets. The first bored me to tears. All new stuff. Faux avant wank. The second set, they just played their "hits." Mostly stuff from Thrak, which I loved. I've heard good things about "Deception of the Thrush" but what I heard that night was pretty tired, meandering riffs. -- No one wants to be the first to arrive at a party, right?
