Hi, Yesterday I was gladly surprised that the Fnac stores already stock the new Fantomas album, so I got my copy. This could be my favorite Fantomas record to date, I'm really impressed. As someone said, although on paper their path is quite similar to Naked City (soundtracks, ambient, etc), the truth is that musically the results couldn't differ more. There are many atmospheric passages but they seem to serve as links between the different episodes ocurring, just like small cells connected by ambient segments. The sound palette is wider than in previous albums (including some theremin!) and the whole atmosphere is that of a horror movie with the usual metal element. I have just listened to it once, so I can't give too many details yet but the general impression is very good. No wonder why they had some trouble with the artwork, it's fantastic. However, the inlay pictures are quite disgusting, particularly if you're a bit of a hypocondriac (my case!). They're surgical full-color pictures and I don't think I'll ever be able to stomach those things, so I'll keep the sleeve inside for good :-) Best, Efrén del Valle n.p: Fantomas "DC" (Ipecac) 2nd round. ___________________________________________________ Yahoo! Do you think many 'metal-heads' will pick it up & hate it & trade it in @ a 2nd hand place, etc? I plan on picking it up 2nd hand as I'm short on $$$ at the moment.... ;p Andrew np: Maudlin of The Well - mp3 mix -----Original Message----- From: zorn-list-bounces+andrewm=mail.selc.com.au@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:zorn-list-bounces+andrewm=mail.selc.com.au@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Efrén del Valle Sent: Monday, 26 January 2004 3:06 AM To: zorn-list@lists.xmission.com Subject: Delirium Cordia Hi, Yesterday I was gladly surprised that the Fnac stores already stock the new Fantomas album, so I got my copy.
