Hey List, it's the holidays. What's the best gift of music you ever got?

In 1975, my parents found me the DGG box set of Steve Reich's Drumming/Music For Mallet Instruments, Voices and Organ/Six Pianos. I had heard Music For on the radio (it was the 70's) and it was the first 'minimalism' I had ever heard and I was instantly entranced. I searched for it for a long time and couldn't find it. I was so happy when I saw what they had actually found for me...I was beginning to think that I had *imagined* this music. (the sad ending is that my parents then had to hear me play this album through our shared walls for the next 2 years constantly...they hated it!) :-) Steve
