I love this record -- but it's the only disc on the in-store playlist where I work that has gotten repeated customer reactions of "Take that awful thing off or I'm leaving," even from people who say that they're Cash fans. Fortunately, we can usually mollify them by putting on either the new live Paul McCartney (which everyone loves) or Trane's "My Favorite Things" (ditto). -- | jzitt@josephzitt.com http://www.josephzitt.com/ | | GPG: A4224EFA http://www.mp3.com/josephzitt/ | | == New book: Surprise Me with Beauty: the Music of Human Systems == | | Comma / Gray Code / VoiceWAVE Silence: the John Cage Discussion List |
I hate people who disprespect Johnny Cash. I'd like to see 'em do anything as on the money as "The Ballad Of Ira Hayes". As for the new live Macca, LISTEN TO THAT BUDGET!! sh np: sarah vaughan, YOUNG SASSY, proper records box. incredible on 12/17/02 4:23 PM, Joseph Zitt at jzitt@metatronpress.com wrote:
