and in case someone here missed it (which i doubt), trevor dunn's trio with ches smith and mary halvorsson is about to spend seven weeks touring all over the states in support of his new trio cd on ipecac, opening for the melvins. i think they start in sacramento in late august. TB..troglodyte

I'm probably responding too late .. but the first Trevor Dunn Trio Consulvant album "Debutantes & Centipedes" is great . ..it's the Melvins play jazz ...which is a horrible oversimplification, but a bit apt. ...Adam Levy (Nora Jones's guitarist) does some phenomenal work. I talked with him years back when he played with Joey Baron. He talked about being really proud of the album . .he said it was "definitely Trevor's incredible composition" but that he really liked the way it came off . .
