Anyone else on the list heard this album yet? I thought it was, for the most part, lame. Don't get me wrong, I love Ribot and his playing but this album did little to inspire me to do anything except turn the volume down. Ribot's done so many wonderful things in the past - Saints, the Cubanos project, Zorn's Filmworks stuff, James Carter, etc. - I just don't understand it, I suppose. It seems this kind of thing (music) has been done in the past sooo many times already - I'm just burned out on it... Better luck next time...

The new Joey Baron - all percussion album is interesting though.
