Overall I think Mojo is great - and the writing is good. But I too am a little bit tired of the trainspotting articles on the Beatles. But my guess is that there is a business reason to do 'Beatles features.' A Beatles feature with a cover of course probably sells the magazine more than a 15 page spread on Miles Davis or Arthur Lee. But still, the magazine is great. They had great articles on obscure blues figures, rockabilly artists, and the British invasion. Awhile back they had a great series of articles on British pop before the Beatles. That was fascinating. Also when you think about it - Mojo's average reader age must be in the 30 to 60 age bracket. Also I want to mention UNCUT, which is sort of the sister magazine to MOJO. That's another good one. -- Tosh Berman TamTam Books http://www.tamtambooks.com
