Burroughs was doing the same as Dali. He was everywhere. He even did Gap commercials. VH1 did specials and aired the animated video. The computer game "The Dark Eye" featured his voice. I own well over 50 cd recordings featuring Burroughs not including LPs. Most of his disc recordings were still available to my knowledge. He appeared on such albums as Laurie Anderson's "Mister Heartbreak" and Tony Trischka's "World Turning". And the Gus Van Sant and Kurt Cobain duo EPs. Everyone cashed in on Burroughs after his death. There were articles in every magazine and new books every month. The two dvd releases to date are ok, I just wish they would release "Burroughs, the Movie" on dvd. Giorno Poetry Systems released a bundle of gems. I also like "Haxan", "Drugstore Cowboy", and the terrible movie "Chappaqua" for it's All Star line-up (Burroughs, Ginsburg, Ornette Coleman and Moondog among others). Burroughs was fun to follow while he was alive! Andrew __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New Yahoo! Photos - easier uploading and sharing. http://photos.yahoo.com/

On a related note, the DVD of Naked Lunch is amazing. One of my favorite movies. -- * David Beardsley * microtonal guitar * http://biink.com/db

That reminds me: are there any known plans for the movie "Ornette: Made in America" to ever surface again? I got a copy on eBay (I think) once, and it turned out to be a horrible zillionth generation dub. And I'll second David's recommendation of the Naked Lunch DVD. It's wonderful, with good commentary and special features.
