This is a long shot, but here goes...My difficult to shop for grandfather actually spoke up this year about music that he wants. We bought him a CD player last year. Among the names he wanted were Eddy Duchin. He wanted Eddy Duchin playing the piano, not the big band. I found on AMG a collection (released on CD in 1995) called "At the Piano" on Columbia. I can't find it anywhere (even gemm) and I don't even know if this is the right thing. Weirder things than big band pianists have come up, so I thought I'd ask as a last ditch effort to find it. Zach

Just a quick pointer: the excellent Improvised Music from Japan site usually has a gig list for all featured musicians. It takes a bit of time to search it but you may find something there... (By the way any one from the list going at Off-Site in Tokyo on monday?) Oops, forgot the url: http://www.japanimprov.com/ Julien
