Steve,
Don't know anything about this... Trey's currently in the studio recording the next MA album with Steve Tucker and Pedro Sandoval.
Are you sure about this? I thought that both Eric Rutan and Steve Tucker had left the band after the "Gateways to Annihilation" tour. On the subject of metal, I just caught Mastodon live last week. They have one of the most insane drummers I've ever seen, absolutely un-be-lie-va-ble. His drumming consists ONLY of fills, unlike anything I've ever seen before. Besides that, they write killer tunes. All in all, I think I witnessed the future of heavy metal during this concert (as I did when I saw ISIS a couple of months ago). The King Crimson concert at the North Sea Jazz festival wasn't too bad either. They focused on the heavy stuff, with the exception of "One Time". Other than that, we got the best tracks off the last album ("Level Five", "Elektrik", "Dangerous Curves"), and they even played "Red". A bit short at 75 minutes, but still very much OK. Fripp walked off the stage immediately after the music had stopped, he never even looked at the audience. I somehow had the impression that he wasn't too pleased with the whole setting. Frankco
