<< speaking of Jazz stores... has anyone been to the jazz&blues mart in
Chicago. >>
Dear Darti & Caleb & Crew, I concur totaLLy with wshat the other guys said about the Chi Rec Mart. It's been many years since I've been there, but in addition to the few jazz/avant venues (I think it was the Green Door where, sadly, it was so smoky I had to leave before Jeff Buckley began his performance <sigh>) there is a little used bookstore (Chicago puts NYC to shame when it comes to used bookstores and record stores), i forget exactly where but I'm sure the staff at the Mart or any Chicagoans on this list would know. that has free music of the free variety, usually wwekend mornings. Sorry for being only semi informative. Steve Koenig n.p.: Jackie Wilson: Whispers (Brunswick Soul Classics series_ n.r.: JJ: Portait of The Artist....
