Skip's right about Pat Hare - the stuff's coming up on 50 years old and it's STILL some of the most scathing guitar ever recorded. The "Sun 50th Anniversary Collection" has "I'm Gonna Murder My Baby," and James Cotton's great "Cotton Crop Blues," also with Hare. You probably should check Hound Dog Taylor out, if you haven't already - uptempo stuff with a rude broken-speaker-cone sound to the guitar. But Hare and Taylor are not current.
