IMO, saying this about Tipographica:
all 3 were in a great band called Tipographica that played, basically, all-original frank zappa music.
is like saying about anyone who records on Tzadik "all 3 were in a great band called _____ that played basically, all-original John Zorn music" possibly somewhat true, but extremely unfair. Tipographica were an amazing band with their own sound. Steve

I'll grant you that last point, fz isn't all they do, but i don't think your tzadik analogy works because zappa's rhythmic and melodic idiosynracies are much more specific to him than the various flavors of Judaica (or whatever)from the tzadik catalog are specific to zorn. and those fz idiosyncracies inform much of tipographica's output. sean
