This is an interesting interaction in a sense - and I have to say I totally agree with Jeb being upset - because if it was me I would be upset too. Some years ago there was a rumor printed by a newspaper critic that wasn't true - and this critic based his whole article on a factual untruth regarding someone I love intensely. Luckly the paper allowed me to go one-on-one with the idiot reporter (by printing a good-sized article by yours truly), but if they didn't allow me to respond I would feel terrible. I don't think Zach was thinking clearly when he made that statement. A lot of it has to do with the nature of the internet and e-mails. There is something intimate regarding the e-mail, and I think one forgets that they are talking to a whole room of strangers - or lives that could be affected by what one says or not say for that matter. I sincerely think Zach thought he was making a compliment (of sorts), but the truth is he did make comments that are not factual or shouldn't be aired with a group of strangers - and more important it was VERY proper for Jeb to make his comments. -- Tosh Berman TamTam Books http://www.tamtambooks.com
