Hey List: I know there are various people on this list interested in the cdr series that Incus Records is issuing. Since this series gets no advertisement (other than being listed on the Incus Website, at http://www.incusrecords.force9.co.uk/, and on Peter Stubley's European Free Improvisation page, http://www.shef.ac.uk/misc/rec/ps/efi/ehome.html) I thought I would spread the word. 3 new cdrs have been issued in April/May 2004, bringing the total to 12 cdrs in the series. There has been a recent division of the series into two sub-series. The first sub-series is "From the Store". There is one new cdr in this series: FROM THE STORE No. 6 with Robyn Shulkovsky in concert & studio Derek Bailey electric guitar Robyn Shulkovsky percussion The second sub-series is "Solo Guitar". There are two new cdrs in this series: Solo Guitar Series No. 5 LIVE AT G's CLUB Derek Bailey solo electric guitar Recorded at G's Club, Sidecar, Placa Reial, Barcelona 10th February 2004 And this last one doesn't appear on the Incus site yet, but it is on the EFI site, Solo Guitar Series No. 6 THEN Derek Bailey, solo guitar THEN '72 stereo electric guitar (19.25) THEN '74 19-string (approx.) guitar (02.50) THEN '80 acoustic guitar and voice (14.45) I haven't heard this last one yet, but the February 2004 solo show cdr is excellent. For the uninitiated these cdrs have no distribution and are only available from the Incus website. David K.
Hey David, Thanks for bringing this sideline up, I tend to forget it (meaning: I still don't have any of those cdrs). Meanwhile: it seems that at least one of the cdrs mentioned on the Incus site has found another channel of distribution: bought Bailey/Palmer/Stagner 'Live at Lamar's' (march 24, 1999) at DMG a short while ago, issued on Shaking Ray Records.
