I've got their first (only?) record. Pretty dang cool. The compositions have a lot of variation in styles and good transitions between them. Obviously, Territory bears a lot of resemblance to Vandermark 5, but there's a lot more space and weirdness in there. Dorner might be one of those you could include in the onkyo-improv category, but he's also not afraid to just get busy in a groovy free-bop fashion. There's a trio record with him, Zerang and Lonberg-Holm that's very sweet and very out. --motewrac bob np: Booker T & the MGs

I had the pleasure to see them performing live in Berlin last Saturday, it was just amazing. I didn't noticed comments about this band here, what do you Philozorners think about it?
BTW, Zorn will be playing in my (and Hans Bellmer) home-town, Katowice, Poland next Saturday! We had local elections recently, you could see posters on many walls "John Zorn - best Mayor for Katowice!". No doubt. __________________________________________________________________ Artur Nowak [arno at emd dot pl] www.emd.pl/muzyka
