Hi, The last week, I went to the Takase-Mahall show, and was an excellent experience ,I never heard Mahall before and was a big surprise ,his style are great. And Takase were extraordinary with her incredible virtuosism. All the set was practically versions, including a strange version of "I'm confessin that i love you".Was a very funny show too, because Mahall tell a lot of jokes during the show ( I don't understand everything but he tell something about the tunes, the hospitals, and explain the story of a partiture that was preparing during the morning, but he lose it). In the last piece Takase throw at the piano some plastic balls that jump while she was playing.A great show. But i can't say the same about the Stangl show with Mahall, the other day, was absolutely boring, atmospheric horrible sounds with electronics and the acoustic guitar of Stangl improvising very bad and making noises with the electric guitar, accompanied with a video filmed in China with images of cars and streets, everything was really awful. regs, Ricardo. _______________________________________________________________ Yahoo! Takase-Mahall is definitely a killer combination. For anyone who wants to get an idea of Rudi Mahall's playing I'd recommend, beside his duo publication with Aki Takase, the CDs of his longtime band Der rote Bereich with Frank Möbius and John Schröder. I had the luck to record and tour with him some years ago, and I must say that he is a very challenging guy both as a musician and as a person. (Some material of our earliest project, uSbEsT+, is published as MP3 on my website, if someone is interested) Best; Fritz ############################################## Fritz Feger mail@fritzfeger.de www.fritzfeger.de ##############################################
