so i'm wondering if anybody here can recommend some old country & western i'm talking old 50's, 60's country & western. >>
well of course you all have to have eugene chadbourne country improvs, but for rockabilly, my votes goes to wanda jackson- there's currently an inexpensive long CD on Ace (UK) records. never liked the stuff much but this girl turned me out. no wi'm listening to lots of anthologies, esp on bear family, but- a very inexpensive 4cd box that cost me under $25 USD via the most famous online company is the anthology called Doughboys, Playboys & Cowboys: The Golden years of Western Swing, with 99 tracks that im still just starting to digest. Its on the Proper label from germany. love to all Steve Koenig Editor, JumpArtsJournal.org n.p. my air conditioner + aaron alexander "blues for sparky"
