did anyone else catch jon medeski on piano jazz this morning. along with doing some great monk and some of his own stuff, he also played one of the greatest versions that i've heard of 'caravan' wihtout ellington being on the keys, especially considering it was just bass and piano, and not very good bass at that. anyone else hear it or have any thoughts about it?
