I recently purchased the Best of Bowie DVD collection and I am wowed by his consistant star power and sense of smarts. He has often made two steps back and one good step forward. But he also had a long career with a lot of highs (and with some rather bad lows). I think his new album is great, and what makes him fab is that he does deal with his age. The same goes for Dylan's last album - which sounds like a great album from a 60 year old! So, in general (and since I am in my late 40's)I am totally into this new old guys (and girls) pop! On the DVD collection there is a song called 'Thursday's Child,' off Hours - and that video deals with middle-age man angst! But on top of that, my other favorite middle-age CD (besides Dylan) is Bryan Ferry's latest 'Frantic.' That is also a great album. On a sad note, Joe's death is just simply terrible news. -- Tosh Berman TamTam Books http://www.tamtambooks.com
