Hey, just bought the Residents 'Icky Flix' DVD (which is great), and am tempted to delve a bit further into their DVD catalogue. Just not sure which to pick... some of the available options: Disfigured Night Demons Dance Alone Eskimo Kettles Of Fish box set Any ideas? Thanks, Julian.

I know, this is 80 years later to respond but I do have the Eskimo DVD since the record is one of my favorites of all time. It's not really a traditional DVD because the visual portion is mostly a slide show of images that fit the text/story that goes along with the music. Apparently, they took to the internet in search of images to fit the arctic subject matter of Eskimo. I think you might have to be a fan of the music to really appreciate these enhancements but I really loved the new visual experience to go along with the music and it is the first time I've really fully understood how the text fits with the music. You have to appreciate the very Residential-ness of the new visual enhancements, too. I hope some people are noting the rather genius and I think quite "new" visual way to present music found on this DVD. I guess it is rather PowerPoint-ish but I think some really cool things could be done with still photos and images to go with music. I would be interested to know exactly what is contained on some of these other DVDS as well. They all seem rather non-traditional, but then again, what isn't in the world of the Residents. James
