Skerik is a sax player? Put Zorn and Skerik on a bandstand together, and my money is on Zorn all the way. Although I haven't seen Skerik criticize anyone in an audience, I have witnessed him several times saying some pretty awful things from the bandstand about fellow musicians. I believe he thinks it's funny, but I'm not amused. Dave

That sax player is Skerik, and while the Frog Brigade stuff is fairly mainstream funkrock, Claypool has joined Skerik as a guest on several of Skerik's projects. The Critters Buggin 6/2/01 show is a fine example of this. And sure, Claypool's sound is identifiable, and even in some cases predictable, but who here can't identify Zorn after a few seconds of hearing him.

I suspect you're thinking of someone else. I've seen Skerik live MANY times, and have a rather large collection of his live recordings and have never heard him berate anyone in the band. Do you have an example to cite?
