but can't you just put those two tracks (the backwards ones) in safe mode, record on the two forward tracks, flip the tape and then record forwards what were the two backwards tracks while the ex-forward tracks are now in safe mode? blah! dizzy! it's very simple, i swear. i think mix tapes are hip! but cds... are so much easier. the art of good mix tapes is now practiced by only a few cool kids... not including me :( kim
I don't see any ethical problem with making a mix tape, if that's what you mean, but 4-track cassettes don't come off well when played back on stereo cassette players, since two of the tracks play backwards.
