This festival feature some of the most innovative improvisational music on the current scene, performed by artists dedicated to the principles of true democracy in the creative arts, including Raphe Malik, who is making a rare New York appearance. Trumpet Nemesis with Roy Campbell, Jr., Lewis Barnes, Dave Ballou, Ryan Sawyer; The Umoja Unit with Raphe Malik, Daniel Carter, William Parker, Tor Snyder, Ras Moshe, and Jackson Krall. Sunday, June 16: Dichotomy with Tom Abbs and Okkyung Lee; No Limits with Alex Harding, Cooper-Moore, Wilbur Morris, and Reggie Nicholson; Space Probe with Ras Moshe, Chris Corsano, Kyoko Kitamura, Steve Swell, Matt Heyner, Francois Grillot, and David Brandt; Sabir Mateen's Sound Textures Unit with Raphe Malik, Jane Wang, Naoko Ono, and Ravish Momin.
