Time Capsule, Inc. and Neues Kabarett are pleased to present the fifth Music Now festival at The Brecht Forum on Friday June 14, 2002, Saturday, June 15th, and Sunday, June 16th, from 8 pm until 12 am each evening. This festival feature some of the most innovative improvisational music on the current scene, performed by artists dedicated to the principles of true democracy in the creative arts, including Raphe Malik, who is making a rare New York appearance. Friday, June 14th: The Louis Belogenus Trio with Adam Lane, Ryan Sawyer; Matana Roberts Trio with Tony Malaby, and Angelica Sanchez; Ras Moshe Quartet with Todd Capp, Anders Nilsson, Todd Nicholson. Saturday, June 15: Oscar Noriega Trio with Marc Ferber and Thomas Morgan; Reut Regev, Igal Foni, Chris Lightcap; Matt Lavelle's N.Y. Trumpet Nemesis with Roy Campbell, Jr., Lewis Barnes, Dave Ballou, Ryan Sawyer; The Umoja Unit with Raphe Malik, Daniel Carter, William Parker, Tor Snyder, Ras Moshe, and Jackson Krall. Sunday, June 16: Dichotomy with Tom Abbs and Okkyung Lee; No Limits with Alex Harding, Cooper-Moore, Wilbur Morris, and Reggie Nicholson; Space Probe with Ras Moshe, Chris Corsano, Kyoko Kitamura, Steve Swell, Matt Heyner, Francois Grillot, and David Brandt; Sabir Mateen's Sound Textures Unit with Raphe Malik, Jane Wang, Naoko Ono, and Ravish Momin.
