Fwd: Re: favourites of 2003 (remasters)/ dylan
Hey Skip, you make some valid points about Blood On The Tracks and/vs Blood On The Tracks: The New York Sessions. Thinking about it further, the NY sessions would not have been as meaningful for me had I not known, grown and loved the original release first. Yet, depending on my mood/state of mind Im drawn to either of them at any given moment. My first few listenings of the NY sessions were like magic - and I still ponder upon Dylan's processes and goals of perfection. Regarding technicalities, you seem to have a decent handle on that - I for that matter, do not listen with that ear. Either way, Dylan IS! If I had to on this given day (next week might be different) my top 5 Dylan Favs (in order) are 1. Live 1975 - The Rolling Thunder Revue 2. John Wesley Harding 3. Blood on the Tracks (either one) 4. The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan 5. Highway 61 Revisited Also, a great link to find some rare dylan is here http://www.ne.jp/asahi/bob/dylan/ this guy updates about twice a month. z Note: forwarded message attached. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
