Hey Skip, you make some valid points about “Blood On The Tracks” and/vs “Blood On The Tracks: The New York Sessions.” Thinking about it further, the NY sessions would not have been as meaningful for me had I not known, grown and loved the original release first. Yet, depending on my mood/state of mind I’m drawn to either of them at any given moment. My first few listenings of the NY sessions were like magic - and I still ponder upon Dylan's processes and goals of perfection. Regarding technicalities, you seem to have a decent handle on that - I for that matter, do not listen with that ear. Either way, Dylan IS!
