also, Patton is often very rude on stage, very antagonistic, often in a sexual way like "come on! I'll fuck ya! then I'll fuck your mother!" stuff like that - heard it at bungle shows mostly....
I think it's an act. From what I hear he's a nice guy off stage as well. I never saw him acting like that at an improv show.
apart from Eye being in Japan, is there any reason why Zorn didn't get Eye to perform for the reunion?
have they had a 'fall-out'? they haven't done anything in ages!!
I think EYE had some kind of fallout with the world. Last thing I heard was that he moved to Okinawa and started supporting some neo-religious group which worships water. He plays live very rarely and when he does, it's often as a DJ and not in the fanatic screaming mode. So I think Patton was not only much easier to get a hold on, but also maybe he was more in the groove with his recent work in Fantomas and so on. EYE did appear with the Frith, Zorn, Lombardo, Laswell group a few years ago, screaming his brain out. So who knows.. _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail

According to Zorn's festival at Tonic schedule there will be a set of John Zorn, Fred Frith & Yamatsuka Eye. -- Best regards, Peter Gannushkin URL: http://www.downtownmusic.net/

BTW, Patton is currently recording 2 Fantomas albums and of course touring with Tomahawk (their second album was a real disapointment to me). Fantomas was scheduled to play at the Belfort Eurokéennes festival in France but the show was cancelled... Has this anything to do with the fact that Trevor Dunn is touring with Electric Masada? -- Thierry
