I think it's an act. From what I hear he's a nice guy off stage as well. I never saw him acting like that at an improv show.

I think EYE had some kind of fallout with the world. Last thing I heard was that he moved to Okinawa and started supporting some neo-religious group which worships water. He plays live very rarely and when he does, it's often as a DJ and not in the fanatic screaming mode. So I think Patton was not only much easier to get a hold on, but also maybe he was more in the groove with his recent work in Fantomas and so on. EYE did appear with the Frith, Zorn, Lombardo, Laswell group a few years ago, screaming his brain out.
