Don't know exactly, but not for a while, I'd guess... it's my understanding that 'Unspeakable,' a new studio release Frisell did with Hal Willner, a biggish ensemble (Tony Scherr, Kenny Wollesen, Don Alias, Jenny Scheinman, Eyvind Kang, Hank Roberts, Steven Bernstein, Curtis Fowlkes and Briggan Krauss) and pre-recorded voices, is due soon, like within the month. The double-live CD will be coming sometime after that -- some months later would be my guess, but I have no idea, actually. Frisell also did a new studio recording with Paul Motian and Joe Lovano for ECM a couple of months ago. Fans have a lot to look forward to... Has anyone on the list come across a release date for this two-disc album? I want to get my hands on these recordings, but would like to know when they'll be out in the record stores. All Music Guide says 24 August. I'm excited. That sounds like one heck of a line up. Any one have an idea about what it sounds like? Hi All, Unspeakable is slated for release in the US on August 24th. I thought they had settled on a release date for the double live disc, but can't seem to find any further info. A query of the knowledgeable folks at the bill frisell group at Yahoo failed to turn up a release date, although I made that query at least a month ago. I personally am more looking forward to the live album, but then again, will probably end up picking up unspeakable to tide me over. ;) And that's good news re: the motian trio recording. The motian trio (motian, frisell, lovano) is playing the Village Vanguard in NYC for 2 weeks this month, if I'm not mistaken. -whit On Mon, 9 Aug 2004, Steve Smith wrote:
