sorry, joining this discussion late, but since there's been so much speculation on the "why/why not" of Naked City playing together....someone who seems like he would know told me yesterday that Frisell hasn't wanted to reform Naked City b/c of a hearing problem he's developed (which may also explain the increasingly "quiet" nature of his music recently). Which made me feel guilty about having criticized Frisell's playing during the first half of the show... Anyway, point being: apparently the money was good enough to risk physical harm. mem
