This show absolutely changed my life. I have never seen or heard anything like this. (no order) SUNN 0))) at the Blackbird in Portland Oregon. Black Frames at the Owl and Thistle in Seattle last month. Earth at the Rebar in Seattle. Melvins at Hells Kitchen in Tacoma WA. Art Ensemble of Chicago at On the Boards in Seattle. Eyvind Kang at Bottom of the Hill in SF. Best Movies - Jackass: The Movie Bowling for Columbine Standing in the Shadow of Motown Best TV Show - COPS Best book - I only read old books.... Things I am done with in 2002 - Star Wars (Episode 2 was the final straw. And fuck the SPECIAL EDITION of the real trilogy) KISS (goddamnit Gene Simmons!!! Give me back my memories.) Ozzy Osbourne (Not only are you an MTV darling now, you fucking remastered Diary of a Madman and Blizzard of Oz with NEW?!?!?! Bass and Drum tracks...!?!?!!) Things I just caught on to in 2002 - Ennio Morricone Satyajit Ray Latin Playboys The Music of Makran compilation HO #1 Roady music from Vietnam compilation Nigeria 70 compilation Things I cannot wait for in 2003 - an album by "The Apes of Wrath" the greatest hardcore band ever. Imagine all of the "boring" parts removed from Fantomas, Melt Banana and old Bad Brains. (of course there are no boring parts...but just imagine!) James Davis/Solid Gold/Diamond Vincent - "Voyage to Homo Island" fuck South Park...this is the real deal. Eyvind Kang "Virginal Co-Ordinates" - with Mike Patton and Timothy Young and tons of other people...this record is sweeeeeet.
