I just picked up the excellent "Gravikords,Whirlies & Pyrophones" compilation at the library and especially the Hans Reichel piece blew me away. I've heard his amazing guitar playing before, but the daxophone is really something special!! Perhaps the coolest "homemade" I've ever heard (but I haven't heard Fred Frith's new band yet, though).
