I had the chance to catch Michael Moore last night supporting his album "Jewels and Binoculars" the music of Bob Dylan. With Michael Vatcher on drums and Lindsey Horner on bass. These guys play well together, all top notch players! I thought Vatcher was outstanding in person. I spoke to him about Spy vs. Spy, and he had better things to say than Tim Berne. M. Moore said the ICP Orchestra would be touring the States soon, but I suggest you catch this band if you get a chance. I think available Jelly and the Clusone 3 are still my favorites, but "Jewels" is well worth a listen. It has actually hit "mainstream" jazz radio here in Rochester.
