Getting in on this kind of late, but...
Lots of great FMP LPs are missing, and their statements indicate little interest in back catalog reissues. Specifics on my list: Schlippenbach's 3 NAILS LEFT, ANTICLOCKWISE, and HIDDEN PEAK. Have vinyl copies, but I'd love them on cd. Bless their hearts, UMS/Atavistic has reissued (today) the classic PAKISTANI POMADE. Whoopee, and with extra material. I await the mailman. There's also a couple of Globe Unity that are oop, and one London Jazz Composers Orchestra that was on the SAJ (?) label, I think. Considering the small output of both, one or two missing titles are a big chunk.
I preordered Pakistani Pomade from Atavistc, and it came last Thursday. I've only had the chance to listen to it once so far, but it was everything I'd hoped for. Spectacular. One of the promo sheets they included in the package mentions the Globe Unity Live at Hamburg '74 as being in the queue for the UMS/FMP Archive series, so I'm hoping that more of the Schlippenbach 3 (or 4) records also show up eventually. I think I'm even going to stop bidding stupidly high numbers on Ebay just in case! As for the LJCO record on SAJ, it is called Stringer. I'd rank it as my least favorite all of their records. Can't really say why, but it just hasn't blown me away like all the other ones did.

Also very exciting is the announcement for the following record: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ *** - VOILA ENOUGH! Alterations Steve Beresford; Peter Cusack; Terry Day; David Toop. 2003 - Unheard Music Series/Atavistic (USA), UMS239 (CD) Note: not released yet (planned on May 20, 2003). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This band could put out the most organized (?) mess I have ever seen. Can't wait to listen to it and still miss them. Patrice (still waiting for the reissue of LIVE IN WUPPERTAL).
yeah i dont dig that one to well. i LOVE ode. especially pt VII that wasnt on the vinyl issue.
