Hi guys, Some time ago I got "Hanging Gardens" byt The Necks and I love it and I'm wondering what to pick up next. I've heard bits and pieces of some of the CDs, but they all seem very different from "HG". Most of them seems to be very free from, minimalistic acoustic improv. "HG" has much more of a steady pulse going all the way through which I think is fantastic. Is any of their other CDs also along those rhytmic lines or is it all pretty free from? Thanks! _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 helps eliminate e-mail viruses. Get 2 months FREE*. http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus
Arthur: I've heard Hanging Gardens and seen the band live, and I don't hear that much difference between the trio's work on that CD on its other sessions. It's sorta like AMM, once you've accepted the band's sound everything is a variation on that. Why not try Aether or the four-CD blockbuster Athenaeum, Homebush, Quay & Raab? It's all Necks music.
