Does anybody know of some good avant jazz ( that dreaded term) shows in NYC next week, August 25th thru the 31st? I've checked out jazznewyork.org and found a few goodies like Mat Maneri and Kenny Wheeler. Does anyone know the personnel for the Wheeler shows? Also, does anyone know if Joe Morris is really playing CBGB's on Sunday? The flyer says yes and the site says no. For some reason Tonic lists next to nothing for next week's calendar. There must be something going on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, John Threadgould
