my introduction to ibrahim was an ECM/JAPO under his birth name of Dollar Brand, called "African Piano." solo piano, lots of rolling ostinatos, lots of bouyant and melodic improvisations. exceedingly pleasant. kinda short, like 35 mins. readily available on CD.
