Who or what is Guitarists De L'apocalypso? Their CD "World Tour 1998" looks kind of interesting. Is it good?
I love it! One of my old-times greatest albums. Actually, the CD consists of two vinyl albums, World Tour 1998 (actually it was 1989 I think, I have it for more than two years!) amd Fin De Siecle (1990). Four guitarists: Andre Duchesne, Roger Boudreault, Rene Lussier and Jean-Pierre Bouchard, with Chris Cutler on drums. If you like Frith's Guitar Quartet, you will like Apocalipso as well. Interesting arrangements, dense guitar textures, great drums. I don't think you will find any improv on this record, but the compositions are quite interesting.
