If memory serves well, the core of the lyrics in the M.A.0 album "Red Boot", (with Akchoté, Farkas, Hélène Labarrière (b) ad Erik Brelva (dms) ) were all excerpts from Mao's writings.... (maybe all from the Little Red Book). Dom Farkas is primarily an actor (theater), and from what I know, he appears on the W&W realease "Au Bordel" with Akchoté, Stian Carstensen, Lol Coxhill and others. And don't know this one very well. All I know is that it's kind of an audio film around traditionnal "chanson française", that did get very mixed reviews here. He was also part of a very nice group of newcomers back in the nineties: "Trash Corporation" , with Dom Farkas, Julien Lourau, Christophe Minck, Bojan Z and Daniel Casimir. These names are the most famous of the young french generation. But I don't think any album was released... Pascal. At 10:10 24/04/03 +0000, you wrote:
Hi guys,
So far, almost every single mix of poetry and music I have encountered has made me want to sleep or, more often, leave the room in embarassament. But recently I found something new: Dom Farkas. Anybody have info about that guy. I found practically zero on the web.
I only know him from an old short Noel Akchote ep called "M.A.O.", which has pretty nice music but really excellent vocals! Any idea what the lyrics are about. Okay, I get the Mao and China stuff, but what is the particular angle?
Cheers.
