So has he been try to revive Lifehouse recently. I thought the strongest material from that era made it to "Who's Next" and the rock opera jones was let out with Quadrophenia (my favorite piece from Townsend or The Who, btw). Is he going let out the pretentiousness and esoterica of Lifehouse see the light of day? Meanwhile, TagYrIt@aol.com wrote (on the subject of "Smile"):
While I was reading this, all I could think of was substituting in "Pete Townsend" and "Lifehouse." I read the playscript over the weekend, and can't really figure out why it took so long to finally spit it out. I mean, the ending is a bit bleaker than the transcendent-hippie thing from the original outline, but otherwise, what was the hold-up? (At least with his nutbar plans for the "Lifehouse Method" thing, software development time will make it understandable if we don't hear a peep out of him for the next couple of years.)
