so sez nathan: anyone have any comments about the stuff tyondai braxton has done? I've heard there is a new split release with another experimental outfit, wondering what anyone thinks of it, or of his release of 2000?, I believe.
The split is "Rise, Rise, Rise" with Parts & Labor, a band with enough krautrockish moments to make them in'erestin'. The Braxton portion is real good too, a nice progression from his "History that Has No Effect" CD. on 12/14/03 2:05 AM, Kurt Gottschalk at ecstasymule@hotmail.com wrote: [snip]

i find the magical power mako similarity even more striking having heard the disc. now, i have no reason to think tb's ever even hearda mpm, but there's a similarity there no doubt. and little similarity to his poppa, so if that's what your 'spectin', forgetit.
The first time I heard him, I was reminded (and still am sometimes) of what I thought A.R.Kane coulda been, if that makes any sense.
i think he might be an interesting guy to watch for a decade or two...
Agreed.
