Anybody heard/have any further information on these two upcoming hatology releases? Looks like they're going electronic.
hatOLOGY 2-606 Wolfgang Mitterer Radio Fractal / Beat Music Live at Donaueschingen 2002 radiofractal and beat music are 2 compositions (each about 1 hour) for tape and acoustic / electric instruments ... in donaueschingen it was performed by mitterer, dieb 13, patrick pulsinger, (a second laptop musician), max nagl, john schröder and a drummer (forgot his name, too)... it was the best combination of electronic music and free jazz, i've ever heard and i'm happy, that they released this concert ...
hatOLOGY 2-607 <trio x 3> New Jazz Meeting Baden-Baden 2002
I'm especially interested in the second one. It features Steve Lacy, 5 other jazz musicians, Bernhard Lang, Christof Kurzmann, and Philip Jeck. Looks like they're recordings and remixes of Lang's "Differenz/Wiederholung" with musicians playing/improvising on top.
they had i think 3 concerts in the south of germany, and i've been at the one in tübingen ... it was scheduled as trio x 3 with one classical, one jazz and one electronic trio, but they played in all different kinds of combinations ... there was a wonderful duo jeck / lacy ... i'm really curious about the cd... and i also have to recommend bernhard lang's "differenz/wiederholung 2" on kairos, a really nice and intense composition performed by klangforum wien... take care...
