just bought and listening for the second time the cd.

1- Zorn is over using the masada song book in my opinion

2- But, and that is what's important. It is one of the most beautiful recordings Zorn as issued in some time. The first track is so haunting. And the rest is so beautiful. I'm realizing with time (but I already knew it) that all the masada stuff (including the quartet - the tonic one is so much fun) is some of the best music he's given us.

3- As mush as I like abstract stuff, I rarelly go back and listen to his game pieces, is electronic stuff, and even painkiller. Naked City is still fun, but none the less, I will always go back and listen to Bar Kokhba (this one is one of my all time favorite cd) and Circle Maker. These last two are the records I lend to friends. Allmost all of them find them real good.
