Reminds me, however, that there was one shining moment on the first Capitol disc, 'Independent Worm Saloon.' I've always liked "The Annoying Song" - for me, it's always somehow conjured the image of Dewey Duck driving through the desert in an LTD convertable, hopped up on cough syrup and having just axe-murdered uncle and brothers... The fact that such an image would occur to me sans any chemical persuasion is still a bit alarming after all these years. "Double Live" is from the "Hairway to Steven" tour, if I'm not mistaken, so it's only sorta post-T&G. What's really, truly wretched is P, the band Gibby did with Johnny Depp. Not that I expected better, mind you, but how deep does your head have to be in a potato sack full of cocaine in order to do something like that? It's funny, you're the second person I've seen phrase it this way in the last three days ... not that I'd dream of defending the Capitol records, but am I the only person on the internet who bought _Double Live_ when it came out?
