I went to Russia a year ago.  You would be surprised what is available in Russian music stores.  Main stream  to subspeciality..... most of Zorn's stuff was available but also all kinds of other stuff.  There are Russian labels that seem to operate with in the confines of Russian trademark law (none).  I found a Russian copy of a cd that the band I was in during my college years.  I know that we printed only 500 copies and most of those went to friends, families, promoter, and the rest were sold.  I contacted the Russian label and was told that they liked it...Thanks.  They were nice enough to send several free cds.

I know that things are available in stores quickly.  You can get copies of any software, music, and movies (new American movies are available on dvd in Russia on the monday after they premiere in the west).
