No, Skerik is his own thing. He has no connection to Galactic that I'm aware of other than various side projects with Stanton Moore, Galactic's drummer.
I take this back, it looks like Skerik did sub for Galactic's regular sax player, Ben Ellman (one of the founders of the New Orleans Klezmer Allstars, for those interested in that sort of thing) on a few tours. Not being a big fan of Galactic, I didn't realize this.
