i'll go against everyone here and say that i found this record intriguing and fun to listen to. i'm not *that* familiar with either haino or the ruins... i just have a few things by each. but i think all their playing is very together (in its own weird way), dynamic in terms of speed and energy, and very well recorded. i think it's a rad meeting of some musicians that were totally meant to play together. they're all really good at remaining themselves while complimenting the other players. it is definitely a challenging listen, so i understand that people are saying it's a little tedious and boring (that's how i'm translating it), but i find all of it engaging. i would recommend checking it out, personally, if you're a fan of haino or the ruins... since i think it blends both their styles very well. it grabbed me, at least. peace, kim __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
