You are correct. Sausage is in fact Primus. The original lineup of Primus being Todd Huth, Jay Lane and Les Claypool (the same as Sausage). I totally understand why you wouldn't be out checking out "every" new Claypool thing. The Primus stuff never connected with me either, I saw them as well as Sausage live...kind of fun but nothing that hit me hard. The only reason I ever picked up "Purple Onion" is because of the fact that Skerik, Mike Dillon and Fish Fisher are on it.
