i think all the early material releases on celluloid are out of print. they turn up pretty frequently on ebay, and as with a lot of the celluloid albums, much of the music turns up on compilations. and the earliest material songs seems to be repackaged and re-released every few years. most, if not all f them are not quite legitimate, at least in the sense that i don't believe the musicians see a dime from the issues. seven souls was reissued in the late '90s (legitimately) through triloka and should still be available, as was the most recent 'intonarumori' on palm pictures. almost the whole axiom catalog was yanked a few years ago when island was sold or merged or whatever was going on at polygram. at the time, 'hallucination engine' was one of the 2 or 3 titles that they kept available (presumably sales were good). i don't know if that's true anymore... dave np : pete namlook/klaus schulze - the dark side of the moog iv ----- Original Message ----- From: "Efrén del Valle" <efrendv@yahoo.es> To: "patRice" <publicpat@yahoo.com>; <zorn-list@lists.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, January 12, 2004 8:09 AM Subject: Re: Tough work: Bill Laswell recommendations / Naked Lunch DVD
Thanks a lot Pat. "Seven Souls" was a recommendation that someone made several years ago that I completely ignored and it proved to be a mistake. I'm also wondering how many of those Material albums are available nowadays.
